Applications are invited from the candidates fulfilling the qualifications and experience for the following category of posts, which are likely to be filled up in the exigencies of work in Heavy Water Plant, Baroda. However selected candidates may also be considered for appointment in any of the Heavy Water Plants/ DAE Units in the country subject to exigencies of work.

4. Qualification Essential :
  1. Matriculation or equivalent with 50% maeks.
  2. A Speed of 80 words per minute in English stenography.
  3. Typing speed in English of 30 words per minute.
5. Desirable :
  1. Knowledge in Hindi Stenography/Hindi Typing.
  2. Knowledge of Computer Applivation. Data Entry & Data Processing.
6. Age limits, if any : Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years.
(Relaxation in case of PHP will be given as per the relevant rules.)
 
SELECTION PROCEDURE AND CRITERIA:
For category No. VI the Selection will be made on the basis of the performance of the candidates in thewritten exam/stenography test followed by on oral interview and category No. I to V Selection will be made on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the trade test as applicable followed by an oral interview. Only screened – in candidates will be called for stenographytest/written test/ trade test/ interview. In case the response is more, the screening will be restricted to candidates having :

(a) Longer experience in relevant fields.
(b) Higher qualification.
 
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
AGE LIMIT : As on 01/01/2008.
 
  1. Relaxation in age will be given to the departmental candidates who are working in the same line or allied cadre and having substantial or extraordinary working experience as per Govt. rules.
  2. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st day of Janurary, 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules. Certificate regarding proof of residence – Any person intending to avail of this relaxation of age limit admissible under rule 3 shall submit a certificate from :


  3. (i) The Direct Magistrate in the Kashmir division within those jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided.
    OR
    (ii) any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the 1st day of Janurary, 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989.
 
2) The candidates applying against the reserved vacancy for Physically Challenged should produce requisite Medical Certificate from the appropriate Authority.
   
3) Selection will be on the basis of performance in written Exam/Stenogarphy test/interview for category No. VI. for category No. I and II selection will be on the basis of performance in the interview and for category No.III to V selection will be on the basis of performance in the trade test and / or interview. Candidates applying for the above post will be given an option either to answer in Hindi / English at the time of interview.
   
4) The vacancies shown above are provisional and liable to vary. In case the vacancy position for any category is reduced or even made nil, HWP (Baroda) is not liable to compensate the applicants for consequential damage/ loss.
   
5) The nature of duties to be performed by the above category involves working round the clock shift duties, in operational paints and located at various parts of the Country.
   
6) Outstation SC/ST candidates called for trade test / interview for the above mentioned posts will be paid second class rail fare or actual fare whichever is less from the place of their normal residence to the place of trade test / interview and back by the shortest route subject to the production of tickets / ticket number, etc. However, Travelling Allowance is not admissible to those candidates who are already in Central/ State Government services, Central / State Government Corporation, Public Undertakings, Local Institutions and Panchayats.
   
7) Candidates selected against this advertisement are likely to be posted at Heavy Water Plant (Baroda). However, they are liable to serve in any part of India and in any constituent unit of the Department of Atomic Energy as may be required in public interest.
   
8) The candidates appointed will be governed by New Contributory Pension Scheme effective from 01.01.2004.
   
 

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Applications should be made on good quality white A-4 size paper and should be in conformity with the format prescribed in proforma given overleaf. Candidates are advised to ensure that the application is leaible, preferably typed in English or Hindi only.
  2. The Candidate’s Name, Address with Pin Code, Date of Birth should be written legibly in English in bold capital letters, even if a Candidate fills- in application form in Hindi.
  3. 3) The application and the outer cover should be superscripted as “Application for the post of ………………………………………………………………., Category No. ……………………......... against Advertisement No. HWP (B)/1/2008”.
  4. PHOTOGRAPH: A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the right hand top corner of the application. One additional copy of passport size photograph should also be sent along with the application.
  5. ATTESTED COPIES OF CERTIFCATE OF :
    1. Educational / Technical qualification (supported by appropriate mark sheets indicating the subject offered at the examinations).
    2. Date of birth proof.
    3. Experience Certificates specifically stating the kind of work done should accompany the application.
    4. Certificate issued by the Competent Authority regarding their claim that they belongs to SC, ST in the prescribed proforma.
    5. OBC (Non-creamy Layer) certificate shold be in prescribed proforma, issued during the current year.
    6. Certificate from appropriate authority regarding physical disability (applicable to physically disabled persons only).
    7. Discharge from Defence Service (applicable to ex-defence personel only).
  6. NOTE:
    1. Persons working under the Central / State Government Public Sector Undertaking should submit their applications through proper channel. They may, however, send one advance copy of the application alongwith enclosures as detailed above to the address given below. But the advance copy will not be processed unless the original application is received through proper channel.
    2. iIncomplete applications and those, which are not in the prescribed form will be summarily rejected.
    3. Applications, which are illegible, incomplete, unsigned, not in prescribed format, without photo, not having attested Xerox copy of certificates will be rejected. If the post and code no. is not indicated on the top of the envelope and in the application, the same will also be rejected.
    4. Complete application should be sent to the ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, HEAVY WATER PLANT (BARODA), POST : FERTILIZERNAGAR, DIST. BARODA – 391750 SO AS TO REACH NOT LATER THAN 30th JUNE 2008. Transmission delay cannot be attributed to HWP (Baroda).
  7. Mere fulfilling of requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify an applicant for the trade test / interview. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates not called for trade test / interview.
