POST NO. 3

I.	NAME OF POST	:	SCIENTIFIC OFFICER/C (MEDICAL – GENERAL MEDICINE)
2.	NO.OF POSTS	:	01 (UR) for Heavy Water Plant (Manuguru), Andhra Pradesh
3.	QUALIFICATION	:	1. M.B.B.S. + relevant Post Graduate Diploma including DRM or equivalent OR 2. M.B.B.S. with One Year Experience.

NOTE :

1.	Mandatory Internship will not be counted as experience.
2.	Candidates with Institutional experience after obtaining registration as Medical Officer will be given preference (Not applicable for MBBS+PGD Candidates).
3.	In case of M.B.B.S., the candidates with one year experience will be considered for an additional increment at the time of recruitment.

POST NO. 4

I.	NAME OF POST	:	STATION OFFICER/A
2.	NO.OF POSTS	:	02 [ OBC-1 for Heavy Water Plant (Talcher), Orissa / SC-1 for Heavy Water Plant (Kota), Rajasthan ]
3.	QUALIFICATION	:	i) Passed SSC or equivalent + Certificate of Station Officer’s course of the National Fire Service College or from CISF Fire Training Centre. Or Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineering, India/ London.
4.	EXPERIENCE	:	Minimum experience of 5 years in a post not below the rank of Sub-Officer in a well established whole time fire services organisation is essential.

Note : Not withstanding the above experience, the candidate must have 3 years of relevant experience after obtaining the requisite qualification of Station Officer/A for candidates without B.E. (Fire) qualification.

ii) B.E. (Fire Engineering).

Candidates should possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence and be fully conver- sant with the Operation and Maintenance of Fire Engines Fire Pumps and Other Fire Fighting Equipments.

POST NO. 5

I.	NAME OF POST	:	SUB-OFFICER/A
2.	NO.OF POSTS	:	04 (UR-3, OBC-1) for Heavy Water Plant (Talcher), Orissa
3.	QUALIFICATION	:	SSC or equivalent + Sub Officer’s Course from National Fire Services College OR from CISF Fire Training Centre.
Persons having valid Heavy vehicle driving licence will be given preference.
4.	EXPERIENCE	:	5 years experience as Leading Fireman OR 8 years experience as Fireman/Driver-cum-Operator in a recognized Civil/ Industrial Fire Service Station is essential.

Note : Not withstanding the above experience, the candidate must have 3 years of relevant experience after obtaining the requisite qualification for Sub Officer/A.

POST NO. 6

I.	NAME OF POST	:	LEADING FIREMAN/A
2.	NO.OF POSTS	:	01 ( UR ) for Heavy Water Plant (Talcher), Orissa
3.	QUALIFICATION	:	SSC or equivalent. Experience as a Fireman in a well established Fire Service Organisation. Persons having Certificate Course from State Fire Training Centre. Persons having valid Heavy vehicle driving licence will be given preference.
	EXPERIENCE	:	Minimum experience of 8 years as Fireman/Driver-cum-Operator in a well established whole time fire services organisation is essential.
4.	QUALIFICATION	:	Sub Officer’s course from National Fire Service College. Persons having valid Heavy vehicle driving licence will be given preference.
	EXPERIENCE	:	Minimum experience of 7 years as Fireman/Driver-cum-Operator in a well established whole time fire services organisation is essential.

NOTE : Not withstanding the above experience, the candidate must have 3 years of relevant experience after obtaining the requisite qualification for Leading Fireman/A.

3.	QUALIFICATION	:	SSC or equivalent. Persons having Certificate Course from State Fire Training Centres and having valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence will be given preference.

POST NO. 8

I.	NAME OF POST	:	DRIVER-CUM-OPERATOR/A
2.	NO.OF POSTS	:	02 (UR-1, SC-1 ) for Heavy Water Plant (Talcher), Orissa
3.	QUALIFICATION	:	SSC or equivalent with valid Heavy Vehicle Licence.
Persons having knowledge of Fire Fighting equipments such as Fire Extinguishers etc. will be given preference.
4.	EXPERIENCE	:	Minimum experience of 3 years after obtaining requisite qualification.

NOTE :

1.	Experience in Fire Service Organisation / Defence Service will be preferred.
2.	Knowledge of English is desirable.

POST NO. 9

I.	NAME OF POST	:	TECHNICIAN/B (CRANE OPERATOR)
2.	NO.OF POSTS	:	03 ( UR-2; OBC-1 ) for HWP (Manuguru), Andhra Pradesh
3.	QUALIFICATION	:	i) Minimum 60 % marks in SSC + Trade Certificate in Crane Operation of one year duration recognized by the Competent Authority.
			ii) Knowledge in Operation and Maintenance of Coles/ Grove/ Escorts type mounted, Tata P&H Crawler Crane, 35 MT Tractor Trailor and Forklifts (Electrical & Diesel operated) is essential.
			Candidates should possess valid Heavy Vehicle driving licence.

NOTE :

The candidates who have passed B.Sc./Diploma in Engg. / AMIE / Degree in Engg. / equivalent or appearing for B.Sc. / Diploma in Engg. / AMIE/ Degree in Engg. / equivalent (final year) will not be considered, and hence need not apply.

ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL BENEFITS :

In addition to the normal pay and allowances viz. House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. as admissible under the Rules, the Department of Atomic Energy employees are entitled to attractive financial benefits under various incentive schemes. These benefits are provided in view of special S&T status of the Department and reviewed by the Government from time to time.

AGE RELAXATION :

(a)	Relaxation upto 5 years against reserved posts for SCs/STs.
(b)	Relaxation upto 3 years against reserved posts for OBCs.
(c)	Reservation for Ex-servicemen will be provided as per rules.
(d)	Age Relaxation for Departmental candidates
	i) Station Officer/A AND Sub Officer/A – 50 Years.
	ii) Leading Fireman/A – 42 Years.
(e)	Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st day of January 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules.

Certificate regarding proof of residence – Any person intending to avail of this relaxation of age limit admissible under rule 3 (e) shall submit a certificate from: (a) the district magistrate in the Kashmir division within those jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided; or (b) any other authority designated in this behalf by the government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st day of January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989.

Selection will be on the basis of Physical Assessment, Command Test as specified below:
a)	Should be able to run 100 meters in 30 seconds.
b)	Should be able to lay 4 lengths of hoses each 50 ft. from the appliance within 3 minutes.
c)	Should be able to climb on extension ladder of 35 ft. length and come down, twice, in 2 minutes.
d)	Should be able to carry a person of approximately his own weight by the Fireman’s lift method over 25 meters in 3 minutes.
e)	Should be able to “Pushups” 20 times continuously.
f)	Should be able to run 1 mile in 10 minutes.
g)	Should be able to Conduct : Physical Training, Squad Drills, Fire Fighting Drills, Fire Fighting/ Trailor Pump Operations, Driving Test, Operation of Fire Tenders and Generation of Foam using Foam Tenders. AND
Subject to Medical Fitness including the Soun-dness of Ear Drums and Personal Interview.

Fireman/A

Selection will be on the basis of qualifying in Physical Endurance test like running 100 meters with 64kgs., weight in one minute, climbing of rope and/or vertical pipe to a height of at least three meters from the ground. AND Subject to Medical Fitness including the Soundness of Ear Drums and Personal Interview.

Driver-cum-Operator/A

Same as Fireman/A + Candidate should also qualify for Driving Test

Technician /B (Crane Oprt.)

Selection will be on the basis of performance in the Trade Test and Personal Interview.

Technician/B (Mechanic-cum-Dozer Operator)

The nature of duties to be performed by the above categories may involve working in round the clock shift duties, in operational plants located at various parts of the country.

Candidates selected against this advertisement are likely to be posted in Heavy Water Board / any of the Heavy Water Plants, but are also liable to serve in any part of India and in any constituent units of the Department of Atomic Energy as may be required in public interest.

The candidates appointed will be governed by New Contributory Pension Scheme effective from 01.01.2004.

Candidates responding against Post No. 04 TO 10, if having driving licence other than the Category of “Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence” have to produce certificate equivalent to Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence from the Licence Issuing Authority / Notification of Appropriate Authority.

(APPLICABLE TO POST NO. 01 TO 04) :
The Outstation Candidates Called for Interview will be eligible for to and fro rail fare for IInd Class (GENERAL CLASS) or actual fare by the shortest route whichever is less, subject to the production of tickets / ticket numbers etc.
(APPLICABLE TO POST NO. 05 TO 10) :
The Outstation SC/ST Candidates called for Written Examination will be eligible for to and fro rail fare for IInd Class or actual fare (GENERAL CLASS) by the shortest route whichever is less, subject to the production of tickets / ticket numbers etc.

However, Traveling Allowance is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in Central/State Government services, Central/State Government Corporation, Public Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and Panchayats.

While all candidates irrespective of community/group will be considered against UR vacancies, against community/group quota vacancies, only candidates belonging to that community /group will be considered. For this purpose, SC/ST/OBC candidates should furnish Caste Certificate from Competent Authorities. In case of OBC, the certificate should specially indicate that the candidate does not belong to the persons/sections (creamy layer) mentioned in Col.3 of the Schedule of the Government of India, Department of Personnel and Training OM No.36012/22/93-Estt(SCT) dated 08.09.1993 as amended vide OM No. 36033/28/94-Estt(Res.) dated 02.07.1997 and the certificate should be in the prescribed form circulated by Ministry of Personal and Training, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
The candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC should clearly indicate the same in the application (even when applying for UR vacancy) and should attach proof of the same in the specified format failing which they will be treated as unreserved and subsequently representations for change of community status will not be entertained.

The vacancies shown above are provisional and liable to vary. In case the vacancy position for any category is reduced or even made nil, HWB is not liable to compensate the applicant for consequential damage/loss.
