Physical Standards for Category – I and Category – II Trainees : |
- No deformity.
- Night or Colour blindness shall be a disqualification.
- Soundness of ear-drums.
Appointment of the selected candidates will be subject to their medical fitness including the soundness of ear drums and suitability to wear the safety gears. Those who do not have the above physical standards and those who have perforated ear drums need not apply.
- Minimum height : 160 cms.
- Minimum weight : 45.5 Kgs
- Vision : 6/6 (without wearing glasses or any other aid )
Candidates who are not meeting the above physical standards will not be interviewed. |

Further information for Category I and Category II Trainees: |

Selection : A written examination of not less than one hour duration (objective type) will be conducted and the successful candidates will be interviewed for selection for imparting Training. |

Stipend during Training |

For Category I Trainee |
Rs. 6,500/- p.m. (consolidated and no allowances
are admissible ) plus Book Allowance of Rs. 1,500/- (as one time grant). |

For Category II Trainee |
Rs. 4,000/- p.m. (consolidated and no allowances
are admissible) plus Book Allowance of Rs. 1,500/- (as one time grant). |

Upon completion of the training, the Trainees will be considered for absorption in one of the following grades depending on the performance during the period of training and interview to be held at the end of the training. |

However, Trainees who secured less than the marks prescribed for absorption will not be absorbed and will be discharged from training. Absorption of the Trainees is further subject to availability of vacancies and also subject to the actual need. The empanelled Trainees will be offered appointment as and when vacancies occur if they could not be absorbed immediately on completion of training.

Bond : The selected candidates will have to execute a bond in the prescribed form to complete the training and serve Heavy Water Board / Heavy Water Plants or any other constituent Unit of DAE, if offered appointment after the training, for a period of 4 years after absorption. A trainee who fails to complete the training or serve the Government for 4 years if offered appointment will be liable to pay to the Government a sum equivalent to entire aggregate amount of stipend received by him during the period of training alongwith interest thereon. |

During the period of training and thereafter, the candidates will be required to attend to round-the-clock shift duties. The place of initial Training will be at HWP(Manuguru) , A.P. and later part of training will be at respective Heavy Water Plants to which they are likely to be allotted. All Trainees will have to stay in the Hostel of HWP(Manuguru) during the period of training, if accommodation in the hostel is offered. |

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: |
| 1. |
RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT :
|
| |
Reservation for ex-servicemen will be provided as per rules in specific disciplines/trades.
Reservation for disability will be provided as per rules in specific disciplines/trades (only for Draughtsman/A).
Relaxable in case of departmental candidates who are working in the same line or allied cadre and having substantial or extraordinary working experience.
Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st day of January 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules.
Certificate regarding proof of residence - Any person intending to avail of this relaxation of age limit admissible under rule 3 shall submit a certificate from:
(a) the district magistrate in the Kashmir division within those jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided; or
(b) any other authority designated in this behalf by the government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st day of January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989. |

The candidates on appointment will be required to contribute towards the New Contributory Pension Scheme. |

Outstation SC/ST candidates called for written exam / interview for the above mentioned posts will be paid second class rail fare or actual fare whichever is less from the place of their normal residence to the place of written exam / interview and back by the shortest route subject to the production of tickets/ ticket number etc. However, Travelling Allowance is not admissible to those candidates who are already in Central / State Government services, Central / State Government Corporation, Public Undertakings, Local Institutions and Panchayats. |

Candidates selected against this advertisement are likely to be posted at Heavy Water Board / any of the Plants, but are liable to serve in any part of India and in any constituent unit of the Department of Atomic Energy as may be required in public interest. |

Persons working under Central / State Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies etc. should submit their applications though proper channel. They may, however, send advance copy of the application along with enclosures as detailed above to the address given below. But the advance copy will not be processed unless the original application is received through proper channel. |

Mere fulfillment of the requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify an applicant for the written exam / interview. “In the event of receipt of a large number of applications, the candidates to be called for written exam / interview will be restricted based on higher percentage of marks.” |

Application Form : The application form in the prescribed format as given below, preferably typewritten on thick A4 (30 X 21 cms) size paper should be submitted and outer cover should be superscribed “Application for the post of ______________ indicating the post/ category/ discipline, as the case may be, against Advertisement No. HWB/3/2005. |

Photograph : A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the right hand top corner of the application. One additional copy of the passport size photograph should also be sent alongwith the application. |

Copies of certificates: Candidates should submit attested xerox copies of the following certificates along with their applications : |

- Educational qualification and technical qualifications supported by appropriate mark sheets and with a statement showing maximum marks and marks scored in the relevant subject. If the certificates are not in Hindi or English a translated attested copy in Hindi or English to be enclosed alongwith the application.
- Date of birth
- Caste Certificates issued by the Competent Authorities regarding their claim that they belong to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Class.
- Discharge certificate from Defence Service (applies to ex-defence service personnel only).
- Physical disability certificate (if applicable)
- Land looser certificate issued by Competent Authority (applies to land loosers of Heavy Water Plant (Manuguru) only)
- Experience Certificate.

Candidates may note that the Heavy Water Board / Heavy Water Plants reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of Trainees depending upon the actual requirement. The filling up of the vacancies indicated in this Advertisement is also subject to approval of Competent Authority and may not be filled up if decided otherwise by Competent Authority in terms of the orders received from Government from time to time. |

Candidates for the post of CAT - I & CAT- II Trainees will be given an option to answer in Hindi at the time of interview. |

Applications which are not in conformity with the requirements indicated in the advertisement e.g. applications which are not in the prescribed format or are not accompanied by the attested copies of certificates, photograph will be rejected. In case the response is more the number of candidates to be called for written test / interview will be restricted based on the higher percentage of marks. The maximum marks on the basis of which candidates to be called for written test / interview will be restricted and may not be uniform among different categories, Disciplines / Trades and reserved categories as it depends upon the response from the candidates. Thus all the candidates having minimum percentage of marks prescribed in the Advertisement may not be called for written test / interview. |
