- Sealed tenders in two parts i.e. Part-I (Technical Bid) and Part-II (Commercial / Financial bid) are invited by Director (R&D / NA) on behalf of President of India from approved, eligible and experienced contractors for the following works at Heavy Water Plant Manuguru, District Khammam, Andhra Pradesh.
- Name of the Work : Fabrication, Procurement, supply, inspection and testing at manufacturer works, transportation to site, painting, erection and testing for 12 nos. of Electro winning cells with piping & other accessories for Elemental Boron Plant at Heavy Water Plant, Manuguru, Andhra Pradesh.
- Estimated Cost : Rs. 252 lakhs.
- Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) : Rs. 5.0 lakhs.
- Cost of Tender (Non-Refundable) : Rs. 1000/-.
- Period of Completion : Six Calendar Months.
- Period of Validity of Tender : 90 days from the date of opening of the tender part-II.
- Date of sale of Tender Document : From 26-12-2007 to 14-01-2008.
- Last Date of Receipt of Tender : 31-01-2008 at 11:30 hrs.
- Date of opening of Part-I (Tech Bid) in the presence of attending tenderers : 31-01-2008 at 15.30 hrs.
- The date of opening of price bids (Part II) will be intimated later on. Only technically qualified bids will be opened.
- Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) : EMD for the amount indicated should be submitted in a separate envelope along with the technical bid and should be in the form of either crossed Demand Draft from Nationalized or Scheduled Banks drawn in favor of “Pay and Accounts Officer, HWB” or Fixed Deposit Receipts from Nationalized or Scheduled Banks or Deposit at Call Receipt or Receipt Challan of RBI.
If the Earnest Money is found to be in order, then only the technical bid will be opened. In case, the earnest money is not deposited or is not in order the tender will be liable for rejection. Visit www.hwbdae.org for all tender notifications.
- Tender documents for the above work can be obtained by bidders who fulfill the assential qualifying requirements from P&AO, HWB, ‘O’ Floor, V.S. Bhavan, Anushaktinagar, Bombay-400 094 from 10:30 hrs to 16:30 hrs on any working days on non-refundable payment of Rs. 1000/- by cash or in the form of crossed demand draft in favor of P&AO, HWB, Mumbai.
- In case the last date of sale / receipt of tender / opening of the tender is declared as Holidays, the respective dates shall be treated as postponed to the next working day accordingly.
- Tenders should be placed in sealed cover with the name of the work and Tender No. and Date written on the top of envelope and deposited in the tender box kept at the Security of HWB Office, 5th Floor, V.S. Bhavan Anushaktinagar, Mumbai-400 094.
- Eligibility : Tender documents shall be issued only on sybmission of following documents andfulfilling the qualifications mentioned below:
(a) Proof of registration with Govt/Semi Govt. organization like Railways, PWD, CPWD etc. in appropriate class and / or having experience in carrying out similar jobs.
(b) Latest Solvency Certificate for 40% of the estimated cost of work from any scheduled bank.
(c) List of similar works carried out by the agency for the last seven (7)years, indicating Annual Turnover, the agency for whom executed, Value of work, Completion time Stipulated and Actual.
(d) Performance Certificates.
(e) Profit and Loss statement or latest Income Tax return filed with IT department and audited balance sheet for last 3 years.

“Similar works” shall means: Fabrication / procurement, inspection and testing including mechanical / electrical / instrumentation items, site erection and testing of similar systems. Completion Certificate is to be given along with reference list.

Performance Bank guarantee equal to 5% of the contract value is required to be submitted within 15 days from the date of issue of L.O.I.

Security deposit equal to 5% of the contract value will be deducted from the bills of the contractor @ 10% of the bill amount.
- The bids are to be submitted in two separate sealed covers, distinctly marked Part-I and Part-II and sealed inside a single envelope, which should be duly super scribed with Tender Notice No.
- Late offers will not be accepted.
- Tenders can be obtained through post by paying crossed Demand Draft of (cost of tender document+ Rs.300/- postage and other charges). Bids can be submitted by post but the biddersare advised to take into account the time required for postal transit.
- The Bidders are requested to visit the plant and get familiarized with localcondition before submission of tenders.
