Sealed item rate tenders are invited on behalf of President of India by the Chief Engineer (Civil), Heavy Water Board from approved and eligible contractors up to 1500 hrs on 14.05.2007 for the following work at Heavy Water Plant (Manuguru). The eligibility of prospective bidders for the purpose of issue of Tender document will be decided either through valid registration in appropriate class with CPWD, State PWD, MES, Railways, DAE, BARC etc. and/or production of certificates indicating experience of successful completion of at least one similar work costing not less than Rs.52 lakh or two similar works costing not less than Rs.35 lakh each or three similar works costing not less than Rs.17 lakh each during the last seven years. The bidders not having experience of executing similar structure will not be issued tender documents. Similar structure means industrial R.C.C. framed structure. In addition, the following shall also be produced by bidders at the time of purchase of tender documents. (i) Bank Solvency Certificate for Rs. 34 lakh (ii) Latest Income Tax Clearance certificate or audited statement of account (iii) Certificate of Annual Turnover for the last 3 years for Rs.26 lakh.

Rs.1000/- (non-refundable by cash or in the form of crossed DD drawn in favour of P&AO, HWB payable in any scheduled bank situated in Mumbai. 2. Rs.1000/- (non-refundable by cash or in the form of crossed DD drawn in favour of P&AO, HWP(Manuguru) payable in State Bank of Hyderabad .

The request for issue of Tender Document along with proof of eligibility criteria and documents mentioned above should be addressed to P&AO, HWB / P&AO, HWP(Manuguru) along with cost of tender document. Tenders can also be obtained by Post by paying through crossed Demand Draft of Rs.1300 /- to cover postage and other charges. Bids also can be submitted by post but the prospective bidders are advised to take into account the time required for postal transit. The dates of various activities mentioned above will be strictly adhered to and the department will not accept any responsibility for delay in postal transit.

In case the last date of sale and/or the date of receipt and opening of tender is declared as Holiday , the respective dates shall be treated as postponed to the next working day, correspondingly.
