Sealed item rate tenders in two Parts viz. Part A (Technical bid) and Part B (Financial & Commercial Bid) are invited on behalf of President of India by the Chief Engineer (Civil), Heavy Water Board from approved and eligible contractors up to 1500 hrs on 22/09/2008 for the following work at the Housing Colony for HWP (Manuguru), village – Aswapuram, Dist. Khamma, Andhra Pradesh. The eligibility of prospective bidders for the purpose of issue of Tender document will be decided through valid registration in appropriate class with CPWD, State PWD, MES, Railways, DAE, BARC etc. and / or having experience of executing similar work and production of Certificates regarding successful completion of at least one similar work costing not less than Rs.800 lakh or two similar works costing not less than Rs.600 lakh each or three similar works costing not less than Rs.400 lakh each, during the last five years. The bidders not having experience of executing similar work will not be issued tender documents. Similar work means “ construction of RCC framed residential / office buildings”. In addition, the following may also be produced at the time of purchase of Tender Document (i) Bank Solvency Certificate for Rs.400 lakh (ii) Latest Income Tax Clearance certificate or audited statement of account of last three years (iii) Average Annual financial turnover for immediate last three consecutive financial years for Rs.300 lakh each.

Cost of Tender Document	Rs.1500/- (non-refundable) in the form of crossed DD drawn in favour of P&AO, HWB payable in any scheduled bank situated in Mumbai.
Date of Sale of Tender Document	11/08/2008 to 05/09/2008 (during working hours) both from HWB, Mumbai and MRPU, Secunderabad.
Pre-bid meeting	Between 10/09/2008 to 11/09/2008 at 1430 hrs. at HWB Office in Mumbai. Bidders will be informed in advance about the exact date of meeting.
Date of Receipt of Tenders	1500 hrs on 22/09/2008 at HWB Office in Mumbai.
Date of Opening of Technical bid (Part A) of Tenders	1530 hrs on 22/09/2008 at the Office of CE (Civil), HWB at 5th floor, V.S. Bhavan, Mumbai 400 094.
Date of Opening of Financial/Commercial Bid (Part B) of Tenders	Bidders will be informed about exact date and time in advance.
Date of Validity of Tender	180 days from date of opening of Technical Bid (Part A)

The request for issue of Tender Document along with proof of eligibility criteria and documents mentioned above should be addressed either to P&AO, HWB along with cost of tender document in case the tender document is to be purchased in Mumbai at the above address or Sr. Accounts Officer, MRPU, Shyam Towers, 4th floor, 1-7-27 to 34, B Block, United Building Complex, S.D. Road, Secunderabad – 500 003 in case the tender document is to be purchased from Secunderabad. Tenders can also be obtained by Post by paying through crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1800/- to cover postage and other charges. Bids also can be submitted by post but the prospective bidders are advised to take into account the time required for postal transit. The dates of various activities mentioned above will be strictly adhered to and the department will not accept any responsibility for delay in postal transit.
In case the last date of sale and/or the date of receipt and opening of tender is declared as Holiday, the respective dates shall be treated as postponed to the next working day, correspondingly.
