HEAVY WATER PLANT (KOTA)

TENDER NO. : HWPK/SITE/DPS/ST/1/2008

 
  1. Sealed tenders are hereby invited on behalf of the President of India by General Manager, HWP(K) from Contractors having experience of similar works, for the following works, for the following  work estimated to cost Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) :-

    Name of the work : Shifting, Loading/ Unloading and Stacking of Stores Materials.
    Period of Contract :

    08 months or contracted quantity (2500 M.T.) is completed, whichever is ealier.

                                                   

  2. The  work is to be carried out during the period as stated in the memorandum from the date of commencement of the work which shall be reckoned from the day after the date on which the order to commence the work is issued to contractor.
  3. Tender documents consisting of specifications, schedule of quatities and conditions of contract etc. to be complied with by the firm whose tender may be accepted, can be obtained on payment of Rs. 150/- (Rupees One Hundred Fifty only) per set in cash (non-refundable) from the office of
    Dy. Controller of Accounts,
    Heavy Water Plant, Kota,
    P.O ANUSHAKTI
    Via : Kota (Rajasthan)
    PIN : 323303.
    on  any working day between  11.00 hrs. and 16.00 hrs. from 07.02.2008 to 15.02.2008
  4. Tenders placed in sealed envelope with name of work (as given in para above) written on the envelope will be received upto 1430 hrs. on 16.02.2008 and will be opened at 1500 hrs. on the same day by the General Manager or his authorized representative in the office of Stores Officer, Heavy Water Plant, Kota, PO: Anushakti, Via : Kota in the presence of such tenderers or their representatives as may be present.
  5. The contractors should quote in figures as well as in words the rates and / or amount tendered by them. The amount for each item shall be worked out and the requisite totals furnished on each page and carried over where necessary to arrive at the total cost of work for each part of the work envisaged in this tender. All corrections shall be attested by the initials with date by the tenderer.
  6. If the amount of an item is not worked out by the contractor or ti does not correspond with the rate written either in figures or in words then the rate quoted by the contractors in words shall be taken as correct and not the amount.
  7. If it is found that the tender is not submitted in the proper manner or contains too many corrections or absurd rates or amount, it will be opened for the Government to ignore the tender.
  8. The tender shall be accompanied by Deposit at call receipt of State Bank of India or any schedule Bank or draft payable at Rawatbhata on demand for the Earnest Money, amounting to Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only). The tender not accompanied by the Earnest Money will be summarily rejected.
  9. Security Deposit (including Earnest Money).
    A) 10% of the tendered cost of the work, and it will be collected in the following manner:-
    A sum @ 10% of the gross amount of the bill shall be deducted from each running bill of the contractor till the sum already deposited as EMD, will amount to Security Deposit of 5% of the tendered value of the work. In addition, the contractor shall be required to deposit an amount equal to 5% of the tendered value of the contract as Performance Security within the period prescribed for commencement of work in the letter of award issued to him. Performance Security may be in the form of DD or FDR/ BG.
  10. General  Manager, Heavy Water Plant, Kota does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves to himself the right of accepting the whole or any part of the tender and the tenderer shall be bound to perform the same at the rates quoted,
  11. Canvassing in any form in connection with the tender is strictly prohibited.
  12. Sales Tax or other tax or royalty on materials in respect of this contract shall be payable by the Contractor and Government wil not entertain any claim whatsoever in this respect.
  13. Tenders for works shall remain open for acceptance for a period of sixty days from the date of opening of tenders.
  14. Item rate tender containing percentage above / below on their total tendered amount is liable for rejection.
  15. The tendered shall read the specifications and study the drawing carefully before submitting the tender.
  16. The tenderers shall acquaint themselves with the work and conditions of the Site locality and no claim will be entertained for this issue.
  17. On acceptance of the tender, the name of the accredited representative / (s) of the contractor, who would be responsible for taking instructions from the Engineer shall be communicated by the contractor to the Engineer.
  18. The contractor must produce Income Tax Clearance Certificate and evidence showing the Appropriate and eligible class on the approved list of DAE/ BARC, PWB, MES, Railway etc., before the tender can be sold to him.
  19. The acceptance of the tender will rest with the General Manager, HWP (kota) who does not bind himself to accept the lowest tender. The General Manager reserves to himself the authority to reject any or all the tenders received, without assignment of any reason. All tenders in which any of the prescribed conditions are not fulfilled or incomplete in any respect are liable to be rejected.
